Since 1991, the CRF Institute has developed its Best Employers methodology to identify - objectively and independently - the front-runners in the field of HR management. This methodology consists of three phases:
1. Research phase
Potential participants are selected and complete the research assessment.
2. Rating and Certification phase
The outcomes of the research are assessed and the final list of certified Best Employers is made.
3. Implementation phase
Participants are given the tools to help them promote their certification effectively (Benchmark/Toolkit and Promotion).
Our methodology focuses on the organisation's HR policies and practices. Best Employers research complements any staff satisfaction surveys that organisations arrange themselves.
The Best Employers project methodology and Certification has been assessed by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs. It judged the Top Employers Certification Seal to be a 100% reliable measure of HR excellence. This recognition applies to all Best Employers projects, as the same methodology and procedures are used in all countries.
Following our independent research, only those organisations that exceed the demanding requirements will qualify for the exclusive Best Employers certification. Certified employers have the right to use the Best Employers Certification Seal for a full year.
