At the end of the research phase, Grant Thornton audits the results according to the following strategy:

1. Rating Report
From the online HR Benchmark survey, the CRF Institute draws a rating report that holds each company’s answer to every question in the survey. The auditors then compare this rating report with the submitted answers to ensure that all the data has been correctly captured.

2. Assessment data set
Grant Thornton assesses the data set for anomalies, potential areas of concern or errors. If any are found, the CRF Institute contacts the participant directly to gain further insight into the aforementioned and to make the necessary corrections. These must be supplied in writing by participants. The auditor then ensures this is submitted correctly by CRF before the new rating report is prepared.

3. Survey complete
The auditor also requires that all participants complete all scored questions. Participants, who do not answer all questions, are approached to complete the survey. Grant Thornton ensures that this information is accurately captured before the final rating is determined. Once all information is complete, the CRF Institute is able to identify the Best Employers and certify the organisations that have achieved the 60% minimum score of the total achievable score in the HR Benchmark.

Confidentiality
The CRF Institute has an explicit confidentiality agreement with all participating organisations. Those that are not certified as a Best Employer for the year receive research feedback in a comparative HR Benchmark report; however the CRF Institute does not release the names of organisations who do not achieve the required 60% of the total achievable score.

In addition, only certified Best Employers are announced publicly.
